John Parrott was one of the best players in the World through the late 80th and the 90th. He was a member of the top 16 for 14 consecutive years, he managed to qualify for the Crucible every year from 1984 to 2004 and is one of the only six players to have won the World Championship and the UK Championship the same year. He was a prolific break builder in his time, scoring 221 centuries including a 147 in the 1992 Matchroom League
