Rhydian Richards became Welsh Amateur Champion in 2017 beating the great Darren Morgan in the final, and he beat him again in the first round whilst playing in the Welsh Open 2018. Those are, in his opinion his best achievements, as well as qualifying for the Assetereum Seniors World Championship 2018 where he beat the 1986 World Champion, Joe Johnson in the first round.
