The Seniors Masters 2018 was played at the Crucible theatre on April 12, 2018.

Cliff Thorburn played hard match snooker all day to lift the Seniors Masters Trophy: he beat Jonathan Bagley on a deciding re-spotted black in the Final. It had been over 30 years since Cliff had won a title and this image sums up what it meant to him!

The launch dinner took place on April 11, 2018 at the St Paul Mercure in Sheffield. It was attended by Mike Watterson, the promoter who brought snooker to the Crucible

As usual lots of laughter, good food, quizzes and karaoke!

Unfortunately Joe Johnson was taken ill at the end of the dinner and was unable to compete in the tournament proper. Fortunately however, he fully recovered and was able to fulfill his commentary duties with Eurosport at the World Championship the next week!

During the tournament proper, the Seniors World Champion, Aaron Canavan, paraded the trophy at the Crucible theatre
